Wilderness first aid (WFA) Case Studies

Fitzpatrick First Aid Training

providing quality first aid training since 2004

WFA is a generic term that commonly refers to any training course that focuses on prevention, assessment, and treatment for an ill or injured person in a remote environment where definitive care by a physician and/or rapid transport is not readily available. Such situations may be closer than you think!

Below you will find links to a number of different WFA case studies. The general idea: get a feel for the setting, review the Subjective, Objective and Vital Sign information. Then based on the information you have – make your assessment and plan. For those of you in the know – this is your SOAP report. If you don’t know, maybe you should contact us about a course.
